Stearns Park is known for its beautiful trees, so we took a walking tour of our neighborhood for our final meeting of '22–'23. We teamed up with Fred Nass, President of the LI Chapter of Wild Ones, an organization that promotes environmentally sound landscaping practices through the preservation, restoration and establishment of native plant communities. He brought with him a handful of arborists who showed us best planting practices as well as what not to plant, depending on the location.
